GRADINGS – PROGRESSION
Advancing through the belt systems requires regular class attendance, focus, effort, discipline and practice.
Over time and as experience is gained, students are able to progress through a belt system, learning and demonstrating ever more complex techniques.
Assessment of a student’s level of ability is carried out at set intervals and after specific techniques from the syllabus have been learned.
These assessments are called Gradings.
Style: Kids Martial Arts Foundation Programme
Minimum Age: 5
The first belt to be awarded is White Belt.
White Belt is awarded during a regular class shortly after starting training, when students are able to demonstrate that they are able to follow instruction, listen and maintain concentration during class. The time to achieve this depends on a student’s ability.
Further gradings are held every 3 months.
Depending on maturity, students will move into the Junior Self Defence Program between the age of 7-8 years old.
